Blackthorne stands 6"1 and is fairly muscular. He has black hair which he usually wears short and a sheriff-of-Nottingham style beard and mustache. He weighs 175 pounds and has blue eyes. He has a scar around his neck from a collar he had to wear before becoming Immortal.

Blackthorne was originally a slave in Egypt, killed for striking his master. When he arose, he killed the master and his entire family. He then fled the area. Since then he has traveled the world, learning the arts of combat. He has led a colorful life with occupations ranging from samurai to pirate to bounty hunter. He was once even a court jester! He has been married 25 times, but only considers ten to have been real, since the other fifteen had no love in them. He has fought in many wars, and some say that they drove him insane.

Blackthorne is, generally speaking, amicable to those he likes, and abrasive to everyone else. In battle however he is a cold, calculating machine. As was mentioned before, some friends question his sanity. One eccentricity of his is that he is not certain he wants the prize. He occasionally wonders whether he could manage as the only immortal left. The surest way to piss him off is to remind him of his slave background.
