Born: July 1589 -- St. Andrews, Scotland
Died: September 1610 -- Edinburgh, Scotland

Davena MacRae stands at 5' 8" with a beautiful figure, which can be attributed to her extensive training. She has light brown hair, which she's constantly changing the cut and style of, and brilliant, blue eyes. Her striking beauty often gets noticed before her strength or intelligence, which doesn't always bother Davena. When she speaks one might notice a trace of her once strong Scottish accent remaining in her voice.
She's a bit suspicious of strangers but still friendly. Davena's generous, calm, understanding and a bit flirtatious. Her personality is often the second thing people notice about her with her intelligence and strength taking third. Those who know Davena often say she has a charismatic personality and a smile that lights up a room. Davena knows that she can use this, and her beauty, to her advantage and she has done so in the past.
Davena and her older sister, Moira, were on their way home from Edinburgh when they were killed during a robbery. When Davena revived, she believed she had been given a chance to avenge Moira's death. Although she was frightened by her this, she didn't let it bother her upon first awakening. Her first priority was to return home to her family and then to find those responsible for her sister's passing. Upon Davena's return, she was cast out of the clan because of her rebirth. Alone and afraid, the only thing Davena felt she could do was hunt down the men who murdered Moira.
She scoured the lands until she found those responsible, using only her charm to get assistance from strangers. After finding them in Glamis, Davena stalked the murderers to unnerve them. Though they didn't recall her face, they knew they had killed her once and believed she was a ghost. Using their fear to her advantage, Davena murdered the men (in 1613) in hopes that it would put her soul to rest. This wasn't the case and when she realized this fact, she left Scotland and headed to France.
After a short time, she learned to speak French, although she lived the life of a common theif. Davena met her mentor in a market while stealing her next meal. Cateline Dupius, the witch of Lyons, stopped Davena and paid for the food the girl had taken. Davena shyly accepted Cateline's offer to take her in. In a very short time, Davena realized that Cateline was as she was. Soon, Davena was questioning her new friend. Cat taught Davena all that she knew, including witchcraft, reading and writing. Davena realized that Cateline was the only friend she had at the time and their bond grew. When Cat knew that Davena was ready, she gave Davena her first and only sword, the Dark Sword.
They traveled throughout Europe for 35 years. Then, without warning, Davena left Cat in 1648. Cateline gave Davena a small money pouched filled with gold coins and wished her student well. Davena refused to spend the money given to her and instead used her charm and good looks to get passage to Egypt. She met Methos -- the eldest of the Immortals in 1651. She and Methos befriended each other but never had a close relationship because Davena wasn't sure she could trust him. In Egypt (1653), Davena received her first Quickening. Her opponent, Katura, was a 550-year-old Immortal. She later learned that Katura had tired of the Game and willingly gave up her life.
The rocky relationship between the Immortals didn't get any better over the years and Davena grew distant from Methos. After gaining several more Quickenings, Davena and Methos parted ways (1659). Davena, becoming bored with her surroundings, took her leave of Egypt to travel the world.
After 30 years of traveling, she returned home to Scotland. After spending a short time in a small village Davena met a man named Conor. For the first time in her life, Davena was happy and her happiness grew exponentionally once she married Conor. Just as Davena grew comfortable with married life, he questioned why she hadn't aged. Fearing the worst, Davena left without explaining and traveled to Spain. In Spain (1694), Davena changed her name to Moira MacRae and began working in a tavern as a barmaid. Over time, she befriended a woman named Chalena, who taught her to speak Spanish. Chalena had a brother who had yet to get married and she set Davena up with him. Knowing that Chalena wanted Davena to marry this man and fearing what would happen if she did, she fled from Spain and headed for France. Here, she met Duncan MacLeod for the first time (1700). The two became fast friends and she spent 3 years with him while Duncan added to Davena's already extensive training and knowledge.
By late 1703, Davena traveled to Ireland. In Dublin, she met a girl, Sina, who reminded her of herself. The two connected well because they had so much in common -- except Davena was Immortal while Sina was merely a fragile, mortal teenager. Their bond led Davena and Sina to travel across Ireland in search of knowledge and freedom. In 1705, Lady Caitria, an Immortal, beheaded Sina to get Davena's attention. When Davena found out, Lady Caitria had Davena driven out of Ireland in an effort to save herself. In a fit of anger, Davena swore to avenge Sina's death.
In 1710, Davena traveled to Russia where she met Viktor, an Immortal. Because she had found more good than evil amongst Immortals, Davena trusted him. Since Viktor feared Davena would turn on him first, he betrayed her by selling her into slavery without her knowledge. Reluctantly, she went with the family who bought her yet vowed to get her hands on Viktor one day. After 10 years of indentured servitude, Davena ran away with the help of another slave.
Soon after getting away, Davena began her hunt for Viktor, hoping to find out why he betrayed her trust. Upon finding him, Viktor left her no choice and she beheaded him. Distraught by the turn of events, Davena left Russia in hopes of renewing her spirit. Unknown to her, Viktor's student, Mikkel, watched the battle from the shadows and Mikkel trailed her for the next 30 years. In 1729, Davena changed her name to Mary O'Dell and went to Ireland in hopes of finding Lady Caitria. Her anger temporarily clouded her judgement and Davena found herself searching for something she couldn't find. Davena was able to strike up a friendship with a band of gypsies. Her knowledge of witchcraft made her a welcome addition to their group and she traveled with them for the next 5 years learning more about magick and mysticism from her new friends.
After becoming bored with her life, Davena chose to move on and selected her destination at random. In 1739, she found herself in China. There she met a pre-Immortal named Mu Tan and the two struck up an instant friendship. Mu Tan, who could already speak English, taught Davena martial arts, although her family didn't approve. After learning all she could from the girl, Davena parted ways with Mu Tan and headed for parts unknown.
In 1751, Mikkel got his chance and confronted Davena. After finding out why Mikkel was after her, she explained her actions to the young Immortal and convinced him not to fight her. Mikkel reluctantly agreed and moved on with his life. Fearing Mikkel would change his mind, Davena moved to Greece where she ran into Cateline Dupuis again. Cat was a nanny for a prominent Grecian family at the time. She and Cat reminisced a bit before Davena began looking for work. She remained in Greece for an unknown number of years.
In 1808, Davena moved to the Americas. Her first destination is Boston where she remains for a short time. She changed her name to Michelle Richards and moved to New York City. There she worked for Martin Grady, a mortal. As she slowly began to trust Martin, Davena told him the truth about her. He accepted her for who she was and taught her not to judge others based on things beyond their control. She spent 15 years working for Martin, growing stronger and wiser as well as beheading many Immortals over the years. Eventually, Davena moved back to Boston where she met a man named David Miller. Davena fell in love with David, but he used Davena's beauty to bring him more business and with it, more money. In 1825, she and David married, but after 2 years, David became bored and restless and divorced her. He kicked Davena out of her own home and brokenhearted, she took a trip to Lyons, France in hopes of finding Cateline.
After finding her mentor, Davena and Cat moved to a flat in Paris. In 1831, Davena, almost accidentally, ran into Methos again. The two of them struck up a friendship yet again, but this time, they became closer friends since Davena fully allowed Methos into her life. After much debate and a long talk with Cateline in 1841, Davena moved to New Orleans. A short time after arriving in New Orleans, she met Amanda.
Without knowing about Amanda's past, the two became friends. Soon after Amanda began instructing Davena in the fine art of thievery and the pair ended up robbing banks and stealing fine art together. This game of cat and mouse frightened and exhilarated her and she found herself enjoying this life. Eventually Davena tired of this life and although she and Amanda got along so well, she decided to take a 10-year trip around the world.
In 1863, Davena took up residence in Paris -- her home away from home. After 40 years of educating herself and training, Davena returned to New Orleans. When she arrived, Davena had enough money to get a hotel room and buy a decent meal. While strolling through the park contemplating her choices, she met and rather quickly befriended a 775-year-old Immortal named Eustacia Nicols. The two realized they were in a similar position and decided to open a dress shop together. In 1912, Davena was more than stable financially so she left Eustacia to work in a newly built casino.
In 1926, Davena moved to San Francisco. There she saw Mu Tan again. Mu Tan had temporarily "retired" from the Game and was now running her own Chinese restaurant. She stayed there for quite awhile and helped Mu Tan out in every way she could. In 1934, Davena moved to Canada. There she met an Immortal named Cullen. She and Cullen fought, but Cullen ran in fear. He was still new to the Game and didn't want to die so soon. Not knowing what to do with herself, Davena found herself weighing her options again. In 1946, Davena moved to Philadelphia. Davena spent 5 years there before taking another trip around the world in order to renew her spirit.
In 1967, Davena met Willow, a mortal, in a bookstore where they were both looking for books on witchcraft. Over time the two became friends and moved to Chicago together. After 5 years, Davena explained herself to Willow. Willow was the second mortal Davena had explained herself to. Willow understood and allowed Davena to make up her own mind on the situation. Davena decided to remain with Willow for awhile longer. In 1979, Davena changed her name to Stephanie MacRae and took a trip to "rediscover" herself.
In 1991, Davena moved to New Orleans where she met Michael Davis, a mortal. They got along quite well and quickly fell in love. Soon they moved to New York. Michael was a motorcross racer and in 1999, they met Richard Ryan. Davena and Richie became friends because they shared slightly similar pasts. When Michael died in an accident in early 2000, Richie was there to comfort her. In 2002, Richie and Davena became lovers. After 5 years, Davena got frightened about the relationship working out so well since none of her intimate relationships with men ever ended on a happy note. She left him in the middle of the night without leaving a note or a reason for her flight from the happiness the two were experiencing together. However, in her heart, Davena still loves Richie.
In 2009, Davena met up with Amanda again in New York. The pair almost returned to a life of crime. Instead, Amanda opened a nightclub. After 5 years, they sold it and went their separate ways. Both realized there was nothing that could keep them from remaining so close and stayed in close contact. In 2019, Davena ran into Duncan again. They talked for awhile but decided it would be best if they went their separate ways as well. However, they have remained in close contact since then.
Everything after that has not been chronicled in her profile.
