Sometime in the late AD 1450s, near the Caucas mountain village of Groverdny, two immortals, Krasa Yellanid and Glaucus Veritas, met and fought. Glaucus Veritas was a well-known Immortal, with a known history stretching back two thousand years at that point. He had, by that time, taken over three hundred Immortals' heads. Krasa Yellanid was an unknown. He'd never been in a recorded fight before. He was never in another recorded battle after. Neither, though, was Glaucus. Two years later, though, an immortal calling himself Alexandre Magne, Alexander the Great, appeared in Vienna. Alexandre Magne, THE Alexander the Great, who had been assassinated and fled from the Macedonian army he had led across Persia, was one of the few well-known Immortals. It was also known that he had died in Rome, at the sword of Glaucus Veritas, in the year 5 BC. Over the next two centuries, what was described as the "Resurrection of Immortals" occured as Immortals long dead were reported to have challenged and beheaded opponents. Often, these opponents would reappear later. It was not until a single Watcher observed two of these fights that the answer was discovered: The victorious Immortal fought and spoke like the man he claimed to be for those fights, but though he went by two different names in each fight, it was the same man, at least physically.
After confirming that this was the case with all of the Immortal Resurrections, the existence of this man was traced back to the fight between Krasa and Glaucus. It has since been hypothesized by the Watchers that Krasa is the victim of "Immortal Possession": The Quickenings of the Immortals inside him dominate his mind, suppressing his own personality.
He is five foot nine with a light build, but that is the only constant of his appearance. Depending on the Quickening that is in power, he has dyed or shaved his hair, added or lost weight, and changed his clothing. Even his bearing and movement change radically during these possessions. His possessions have been observed to last as short as a few minutes to as long as a few years. Whether or not the original personality of Krasa still exists is unknown at this time.
Krasa is tormented by the Quickenings within him. His own personality is far too weak, and the voices inside are far too strong, for him to maintain any control. The result is that his mind is chaos, his life more so. The only clarity is when one of the voices rises above the rest and takes over.
