The Rules

As with other games, there are a few rules we must follow.   Here are the RPG rules you must follow.  They will be inforced as best as possible by the List Mommy/GM.

  1. One Immortal can not kill another without notifying the List Mommy and of course the challengee.  To challenge another Immortal, you must first inform the List Mommy and then request permission from your challengee.
  2. Immortals can't kill other Immortals on Holy Ground. A lthough fights may occur on Holy Ground (i.e. at churches, burial sites, etc.), an Immortal can't kill one another there.
  3. All notes, from here on in, must include a timestamp of sorts before the actual note.  This way we can keep track of who's where and when they're there. Example: late Monday evening, Seacouver
  4. All notes that are IN PLAY must start as follows -- (name of thread) *adult content (if necessary)* ATTN: (player's name/group name).   All notes that are OUT OF PLAY must start as follows -- OOC: (name of thread).  This will help us distinguish between RPG and non-RPG notes.
  5. You are allowed to create only two characters per email address unless one of your characters dies in battle.  That means if you have more than one email address, you can use it to play additional characters, but that would be up to the player.
  6. Keep swearing to a minimum.  It will be allowed, but don't abuse the privilege.  The same goes for sexually explicit notes.
  7. All notes must be written in the 3rd person.  Eample: "Duncan ran." NOT "I ran."
  8. Try not to write more than 2 to 3 sentences for another character unless you have their permission.  Those 2 to 3 sentences are only for continuity.   Don't abuse this rule.
  9. Remember each thread is a different RPG story. Please have no more than five threads going at once.  Since there will be multiple threads going at once, you may be a part of more than one thread unless two or more of the threads supposedly take place at the same time.
  10. Remember that each note or reply adds to the thread created by someone else much like a round robin story.  Keep in mind you must let the others reply before continuing.  However, if the other character(s) haven't replied within 24 hours, continue on.
  11. If you won't be able to role play for a certain amount of time due to a vacation or something, please let the list know!
  12. In fights to the death, both characters involved will be allowed three notes apiece.  That means if Nicole and George are fighting, Nicole (the challenger) starts, then George replies.  Then Nicole gets to reply, as does George.   This happens yet again.  At the end of the six notes (total), I will determine the winner.  This will be based upon the fighting in the notes and the Immortals involved.  The more experienced Immortal or the older Immortal of the two is more likely to win.  If your character loses his or her head, you will be allowed to create another character.
